Before getting into the kayaks, we'll give you some tips to learn how to master the paddling technique and we'll review the basic safety rules. Then, we'll be ready for our water adventure.
During the kayak tour in the Great Pond of Marsala, we'll discover the main islands of this lagoon, such as the Big Island, La Schola, or Santa Maria. We'll see its salt pans and golden sand beaches, learn about its vegetation and wildlife, and learn interesting facts about its history as we pass by its ruins.
We'll have several stops to relax in these natural surroundings and we'll refuel with some snacks, such as cunzato bread, fruit, and sweets.
Next, we'll visit the island of San Pantaleon, where some of the major archaeological sites of Phoenician origin in the world are located. We'll talk about the ancient city of Motia and see the remains of walls, causeways, and other constructions of great historical value.
Lastly, we'll finish the kayak tour five hours later, arriving back at the starting point.
