Ourika Valley Day Trip

The day begins leaving Marrakech behind and hitting the road towards the High Atlas, where passing through its steep trails you can enjoy the way of life of its inhabitants: a spectacular route with some breathtaking views.

Once in Ourika you will have free time to explore the valley, eat in its traditional restaurants, or visit the Setti Fatma waterfall nearby. However, you should be aware that accessing the falls requires a 45-minute climb up steep terrain, so you will need to be in good physical shape to do so.

The tour will return to Marrakech in the afternoon.

Hotel Pick Up

If you're staying outside the old town, we will pick you up from our hotel or riad. If your hotel is in the Marrakech outskirts, you will have to pay a supplement of between $10 and $45 (€10 and €40) depending on the distance.

Fue amena, pagamos excursion y el chofer nos dijo que nos esperaba el guia, el cual al terminar nos dijo que habia que pagarle, que iba aparte de la excursión, nadie pidió guia y al decirnos el chofer que estaba el guia esoerando, entendimos que iba con la excursión que pagamos, lo cual todos nos quedamos sorprendidos al decirnos esto el guia, pagamos todos, pero nos vimos algo estafados . Mohammed notre guide / chauffeur nous a pris en charge moyennant 20e par personne pour le trajet aller (car nous venons d'un hôtel a 30mn au nord de Marrakech, aucun taxi ne passe) Puis, à la Vallée de l'Ourika un guide local Moustapha nous a rejoint, et clairement sans lui, je n'aurais pas pu monter la vallée même avec des chaussures de randonnées , il a été si gentil et d'une aide si précieuse.

La excursión en sí y el paisaje es muy bonito, pero recomendaría no ir en fin de semana, ya que los locales aprovechan esos días para ir a pasar el día a las cascadas. The excursion itself and the scenery are very nice, but I would recommend not going on a weekend, as locals take advantage of those days to spend the day at the waterfalls. Una excursión excelente. Nos recogió el guía, Ahil, en el hotel. Viajamos con un 4x4, muy recomendable para ese destino. Súper agradable, muy recomendable. Las paradas (camellos, cerámica de barro y cofradía de argan), están bien pero son un poco saca cuartos. Para la subida recomiendo sandalias de tracking más que zapato cerrado porque hay tramos de agua. Lo que no me gustó nada es que te obligasen a comer en un restaurante concreto y que encima es muchísimo más caro que la media. Translate this opinion into English.

An excellent excursion. The guide, Ahil, picked us up at the hotel. We travelled in a 4x4, which is highly recommended for that destination. Super nice, highly recommended. The stops (camels, clay pottery and argan brotherhood) are good but a bit of a money-making scheme. For the climb I recommend tracking sandals rather than closed shoes because there are stretches of water. What I didn't like at all is that they forced you to eat in a specific restaurant and that it is much more expensive than average. Opinion translated. Show original.
