Ephesus & Pamukkale 2-Day Tour
Day 1: Marmaris - Ephesus - Pamukkale
Between 6:30 and 7:15 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Marmaris or Icmeler and drive to the House of the Virgin Mary. After a tour of this ancient dwelling, we'll sit down to enjoy a well-deserved lunch before continuing the day.
Following lunch, we'll head to the archaeological site of Ephesus, a spectacular Greco-Roman World Heritage Site. We'll see the remains of the Library of Celsus and other ancient monuments such as the Fountain of Trajan, the Temple of Hadrian, the Odeon and the theater.
The guided tour of Ephesus will continue at the Temple of Artemis. Did you know that it's considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World? Finally, we'll make our way to a hotel in Pamukkale to have dinner and enjoy a typical Turkish show. We'll spend the night at this same hotel.
Day 2: Pamukkale - Marmaris
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll go to the famous natural pools of Pamukkale, meaning 'cotton castle' in Turkish. The color of this unique environment, declared a World Heritage Site, is due to its calcified terraces.
Once in Pamukkale, you'll have three hours of free time - don't miss a refreshing dip in Cleopatra's Pool! Afterward, we'll visit the Greco-Roman vestiges of the iconic site of Hierapolis. In ancient times, this site was considered one of the main spa cities of Asia Minor!
Our route then takes us to a local restaurant, where we'll enjoy a typical Turkish dish. Finally, we'll visit a carpet factory and then return to your hotel in Marmaris, where arrival is scheduled for 6 pm.
