At the indicated time, we'll meet at 51 Bussell Highway in Margaret River, ready for a day full of adventure, natural beauty, and indulgence in some of the finest local wines and treats that this region of Western Australia has to offer.
Our day will begin with a kayak tour along the picturesque Blackwood River, one of the top kayaking spots in Western Australia. As we paddle through these serene waters, we'll be surrounded by untouched landscapes, gliding through a haven of wildlife and tranquillity. Whether you're a seasoned kayaker or a complete beginner, this route is suitable for all levels of experience.
As we meander along the river, keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife. You might spot black bream swimming beneath the kayak or catch a glimpse of eagles, white-faced herons, and kite hawks soaring overhead. Look out for cormorants, swamp hens, and ducks wandering along the banks.
The peaceful setting, with its pristine waters and national park surroundings, is one of Margaret River's hidden treasures and an absolute must for nature lovers! We'll make time for a refreshing swim in the stunning creek system, giving you a chance to take a dip in the crystal-clear waters and truly connect with this beautiful environment.
After our kayaking adventure, we'll make our way to a local favourite, The Berry Farm, for a delicious lunch. You'll have the chance to savour locally sourced gourmet dishes while reflecting on the highlights of the morning's paddle.
Following lunch, we'll explore The Berry Farm's cellar door, where you can sample a wide variety of their homemade treats. From jams and syrups to finely crafted wines, ciders, and liqueurs, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Then, it will be time for a tour of Margaret River's boutique wineries. We'll visit two of the region's finest cellar doors to sample award-winning wines, learning about the rich history and winemaking traditions that have made this region world-renowned.
Finally, after approximately 6.5 hours, we'll wrap up this unforgettable tour back at the starting point.
