Food Tour Through Augusta Margaret River
Description
When making your reservation, you can choose between two different options. Both options begin and end at your hotel in Margaret River and include a guide in English and different tastings:
5-hour tour
With this option, we'll begin our adventure with a visit to a specialty gourmet coffee shop, where we'll enjoy an energizing artisanal cup of joe. Then, we'll investigate the rich wine culture typical to the Augusta Margaret River region, visiting two local wineries. We'll view the sprawling vineyards as we enter the barrel rooms, sample a few wines produced on-site, and gain insight into the extraction process that yields a delicious final product.
We'll continue our tour with a walkabout through beautiful natural areas found in the region. We'll head to Boranup Forest or the Margaret River mouth, depending on the weather.
After our refreshing walk in the pure Australian outdoors, we'll arrive at a fruit farm to gain a deeper understanding of this branch of cultivation. Here, we'll also sample artisanal ciders and liqueurs made on-site. As the final touch, we'll enjoy a traditional dish before concluding our experience and taking you back to your hotel in Margaret River.
7-hour tour
If you're looking for a longer visit, opt for the 7-hour Augusta Margaret River region tour. The itinerary remains the same except we'll replace the visit to the fruit farm with an exciting trip to an emu and alpaca farm. At this stop, the traditional meal will be substituted with a delightful breakfast featuring homemade sweets, coffee, and tea, all enjoyed in the midst of impressive surroundings.
Additionally, we'll visit a chocolate factory to sample some sweet treats and make an extra stop at another winery. The highlight of this extended tour is a sumptuous lunch at a local restaurant nestled on an olive farm, complete with an olive oil tasting session.
