Colima & Comala Excursion
Colima & Comala Excursion
At the appointed time we'll pick you up at your hotel in Manzanillo and head to our first stop of the day, the city of Colima. Off we go!
Arriving in the center of the state capital, we'll go on a guided tour of Colima to discover the interior of the Government Palace and the Cathedral. After revealing some interesting facts about both monuments, we'll leave you free time to stroll around the Zócalo, the city's main square. You'll love the city's colonial architecture!
Next, our tour takes us to the old Hacienda Nogueras. Founded at the beginning of the 18th century, this farm became one of the region's most renowned sugar companies of the time. Currently, it houses the University Museum of the artist Alejandro Rangel.
Time to recharge your batteries! We'll travel to Comala where you can have lunch on your own. At some of the locales downtown, you'll find the typical Mexican cantinas with mariachi music in the background - an experience you don't want to miss!
After lunch, we'll walk through the charming old town of Comala and talk about the history of this city, famous for its traditions, coffee, punch, and breathtaking views of the volcanoes in the background.
Then, following an 8-hour excursion, we'll drop you back at your hotel in Manzanillo.
