Rainmaker Park Hiking Tour
Tour Details
After picking you up from your hotel, we'll travel to the heart of the Rainmaker Private Reserve, located 26 kilometres (16 miles) from Manuel Antonio. Get your hiking boots ready and come with us to explore the jungle and its wildlife!
The hiking trail will begin at the banks of the Seco River, in an intense tropical rainforest setting, where we'll search for birds, amphibians, and hundreds of Morpho butterflies. These butterflies can often be spotted in Rainmaker decorating the jungle with their intense blue colours.
We'll then reach the area of suspension bridges, which are connected to each other via platforms in the trees. We'll travel for 250 metres (820 feet) along six bridges that will provide an exciting adrenaline rush. Throughout the tour, we'll also have views of beautiful waterfalls in the area until we reach Rainmaker's natural pool. Here, we'll pause so you can take a dip in the refreshing waters.
After enjoying the park's surroundings, we'll continue the hike towards a 'soda tica', a traditional local eatery, where we'll enjoy a Costa Rican lunch that includes a plate of casado. This popular dish features gallo pinto, which is a mix of rice and frijole beans, alongside a salad. You can choose to accompany it with chicken in tomato sauce, beef steak, pork chop, or fish fillet. Tasty!
Lastly, we'll drop you off at our hotel and we'll say goodbye after this 4-hour tour.
