We'll pick you up at your hotel in Manizales at 8 am and head south towards the Otún Quimbaya Fauna and Flora Sanctuary, located in the department of Risaralda.
After a two-hour drive, we'll arrive at this nature reserve located in the Cordillera Central of the Andean Region of Colombia. This protected area is dedicated to the care and conservation of a wide variety of species of birds, insects, small mammals and plants that live here, unfortunately, some of them are in danger of extinction.
Once there we'll venture on a 2 km walk through the Andean rainforest. Don't worry it won't be a challenging route and we'll be able to admire the beautiful and green landscapes of this ecosystem.
During the walk, we'll stop and top up on our energy levels by indulging in a tasty regional lunch that includes a meal and a drink.
Afterwards, we'll continue with a peaceful nature walk.
We'll have the opportunity to observe exotic birds such as the moustached tororoi, the multicoloured tanager or the Torrentes paca, as well as mammals such as monkeys, silver foxes and wolf guaguas, the second largest rodent in Colombia.
