After picking you up at your hotel in Manizales at the scheduled time, we'll head for the Nevado de Ruiz. We'll follow a route where along the way we'll see natural landscapes, geological formations and waterfalls.
We'll enter the Los Nevados National Natural Park, where we'll be able to see lots of wildlife. Have your cameras ready! The views will be breathtaking. If we're lucky, we'll be able to see the Andean Condor in full flight, an example of the great biodiversity of this area.
We'll learn how volcanic activity has transformed the landscape, discovering incredible places such as the Valley of the Tombs, a desert surrounded by volcanic sediments.
During the tour, we'll also replenish our strength with a tasty lunch, and after the visit to the park, we'll enjoy a relaxing soak in the local hot springs. The hot springs also have numerous health benefits.
Finally, we'll return to Manizales, and drop you off at your hotel about 12 hours after the start of the tour.
Partial closures
Due to the activity on the Arenas Volcano of Nevado del Ruiz, access to the higher areas is not allowed. It's only possible to climb to the authorised areas recommended by the institutions for the safety of the visitors.
