Walking Tour of Manila
Description
Manila is this historic administrative, political, and commercial center of the Spanish Philippines and full of rich history. Meet us in front of the Cathedral of Manila and join us on this free walking tour as we learn about this city's storied past.
Walk along cobbled streets and scenic street corners to travel in time and discover the cultural heritage of the Intramuros neighborhood as we walk along colonial Manila.
On our route, we'll stop to admire the architecture of the St. Augustine Church, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most prominent Catholic church in the Philippines. As we step inside to relish in its ornate decor, we'll delve into the church's pivotal role in the city's history, accompanied by various other fun facts.
Leaving the church, we'll pass through the Puerta Real Gardens, allowing ourselves a brief trip into the past as we move through this charming site. We'll continue to Casa Manila, a beautiful colonial-style house that represents the opulent lifestyle its former residents enjoyed.
Back at St. Augustine Church, we'll conclude our tour, having immersed ourselves in an enriching hour and a half of history and culture.
