Discover the impressive nature of northern Peru on this bike tour through the Quebrada Fernandez. We'll explore a wild landscape and admire its biodiversity.

Activity Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Angolo A bajos, located 1 kilometre (0.6 miles) from Máncora. From here, we'll start our bike tour through the Quebrada Fernandez, a beautiful natural spot that marks the border between the departments of Piura and Tumbes. Are you ready to get into this spectacular landscape?

Once we're ready with our bikes, we'll ride along the paths of the Quebrada, where we'll cycle along natural trails surrounded by carob trees, faiques, hualtacos and palo verde trees.

We'll cycle along cross-country trails, which will lead us to the carob tree forests, a dry ecosystem that is home to a diverse fauna. Along the way, you'll be able to observe birds such as burrowing owls and up to three types of woodpeckers, as well as foxes, squirrels and livestock such as cows and goats.

As we go along, we'll tell you about the history of the area and its unique ecosystem. Every second will bring us closer to an untouched landscape, full of life and colour. Did you know that the Quebrada Fernández is one of the most biodiverse areas in the region?

After a bike ride of approximately 2.5 hours, we'll return to the starting point.
