Masaya & Granada Excursion
Description
Join us on a cultural adventure as we embark on a full-day excursion to the charming cities of Granada and Masaya. We'll start with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Managua at 8 am. Get ready to immerse yourself in the rich culture of Nicaragua!
Our first stop will be Masaya, known as the cradle of Nicaraguan folklore. Upon arrival, we'll explore the vibrant handicraft market, where you can leisurely browse through a variety of products and traditional objects. You won't be able to resist picking up some authentic souvenirs to remember your visit!
Continuing our journey, we'll venture into the region of the White Villages, and we'll reveal the fascinating origin of their name. At a pottery workshop, you'll have the opportunity to witness the pre-Columbian techniques of this art form. Then, we'll ascend to the Catarina Viewpoint, treating you to breathtaking panoramic views of the Apoyo Lagoon, Mombacho Volcano, and Lake Nicaragua.
Next, we'll make our way to Granada, arriving around 1 pm. Discover the captivating history of the city as we visit the Convent of San Francisco and the renowned La Merced Church. For a stunning bird's-eye view, you'll have the chance to climb the tower of La Merced and soak in the beautiful surroundings.
During our time in Granada, you'll have the opportunity to admire other iconic landmarks, including the Church of Guadalupe, the Cathedral, and the Church of Xalteva. Then, you'll have half an hour of free time to savor a delicious lunch in the historic city center.
As we conclude our unforgettable journey, we'll head back to Managua and drop you off at your hotel by 4 pm.
