Description
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel to begin this tour of the capital of Nicaragua. Ready to discover Managua? Let's go!
Once in the heart of the city, we'll begin this tour of Managua to discover the main points of interest, among which include Tiscapa Hill, where we'll learn about the most bizarre stories of Somoza's regime. We'll also have some unbelievable views of the city and Xolotlán Lake.
We'll also pass by the National Palace and admire its grandeur. In fact, it's considered one of the most impressive buildings in the country. Nowadays, it's home to the National Archive, the National Library and the National Museum. Amazing!
We'll then pass through Plaza de la Revolución Square, where the old Managua Cathedral is located. It was built in a neoclassical style, and its façade is rather remaniscent of the Saint-Sulpice in Paris. We'll then head towards the Salvador Allende harbour, located in the Malecón, an area full of restaurants with views of Xolotlán Lake.
Finally, we'll enjoy a delicious traditional Nicaraguan meal. This is without a doubt the best way to sample the local cuisine. You're going to love it!
After 5 hours of wandering around Managua, we'll return to the hotels, where the tour will come to an end after around 6 or 7 hours together.
