Our comfortable bus ride will take approximately an hour and a half, leading us to the base of the impressive Momotombo volcano. Here, we'll discover the remnants of the original city, now known as the ruins of León Viejo, founded by Spanish conquistador Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba.
From there, we'll proceed to present-day León, where our first stop will be the Cathedral – a remarkable architectural masterpiece.
