It has been great to spend this day with David! A wonderful guide who explained incredible things to us. In addition to doing very important work in the conservation of sea turtles. He worked hard to give us time to see everything and enjoy it. We are super grateful and I recommend it 100%. What he told us is true, that spending a night in Ometepe would be ideal and gives you much more time to enjoy the island, which is brutal.

Description

At 8 am, we'll pick you up in Managua and embark on a 2-hour minibus journey to San Jorge, where we'll catch a ferry to the freshwater island of Ometepe. Prepare to be amazed by the vastness of Lake Nicaragua, once referred to as "the sea of fresh water" by Spanish conquistadors!

Upon arrival, we'll venture to the Chaco Verde Nature Reserve, known for its diverse fauna and flora, including the lively congo monkeys. We'll explore the natural beauty of this reserve until around 1 pm, when we'll give you some free time to have lunch at one of the park's restaurants.

Afterward, we'll visit the Ojo de Agua pools, where you can enjoy a relaxing swim in volcanic waters. We'll also have the opportunity to explore the impressive collection of pre-Columbian artifacts at the El Ceibo Museum.

To conclude the excursion, we'll return to the ferry and make our way back to Managua in the minibus. You can expect to arrive at your hotel at around 7 pm.

Ha sido genial pasar este día con David! Un guía maravilloso que nos explicó cosas increíbles. Además de hacer una labor importantísima en la conservación de tortugas marinas. Se pegó una paliza para que nos diese tiempo a ver todo y poder disfrutarlo. Estamos súper agradecidos y lo recomiendo al 100%.
