Kayaking on Silvia Lagoon
Kayaking on Silvia Lagoon
We'll meet at the time of your choice next to the CH-265 road and, from there, we'll drive in a 4x4 to the nearby Silvia Lagoon, located just four kilometres away (2.5 miles).
As soon as you arrive at this Patagonian lake in Mallín Grande, the instructor will briefly show you how to use the paddles. We'll then put on our life jackets and start kayaking on the Silvia Lagoon. It'll be a low-difficulty trip, in which you'll only have to worry about enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the surroundings.
While paddling, we'll also learn some curiosities about the Patagonian fauna and flora that live around the lagoon. The proximity of Lake General Carrera, located just a couple of kilometres away, makes this place a vastly biodiverse ecosystem.
After the kayak route, we'll stop on the shores of the lagoon for a snack including a cereal bar, nuts, coffee and juice or mineral water, depending on your preference.
Finally, from the Silvia lagoon we'll return by 4x4 to the meeting point, where we'll arrive three hours after pickup.
Early Morning Tour
If you choose to start the tour at 5 am, during the kayak trip you'll also enjoy bird watching, since early morning is the best time to observe the birds that inhabit this area of Chilean Patagonia.
In addition, the departure at this time includes a delicious breakfast with local products.
