Katharo Plateau & Sarakina Gorge Jeep Safari
Katharo Plateau and Sarakina Gorge Jeep Safari
We will pick you up from your hotel in Malia at 8 am. Then you'll hop on an all-terrain vehicle and we'll set off to the southeast of Crete.
During our ride, we'll admire the beautiful mountain landscapes of the island until we reach Kritsa, one of the most historic villages in Crete. We will explore its narrow streets, quaint houses, and traditional shops while we learn surprising facts about this place.
We'll resume our journey and traverse the Katharo plateau. This impressive plateau is 1250 meters high (4100 ft), so it will give us the chance to see a magnificent view of the island, a landscape full of lush greenery where thousands of sheep dwell.
Another of the places we will visit during this trip will be the Selakano forest, a prelude before heading to our next destination: the Sarakina gorge. We will hop off the jeep to explore on foot the beauty of this gorge.
Is anyone hungry? We will replenish our strength with a delicious meal, comprised of a main course, salad and dessert. After having lunch, we'll travel to Myrtos, where you'll be able to take a dip in the sea - the perfect end for the tour.
We will then head back and drop you off at your hotel in Malia around 4 pm.
