Ceuta & Tétouan Day Trip
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point and head to the Port of Algeciras by bus. When we get there, we'll hop on a ferry that'll take us over to the African continent.
After we've spent 1 hour at sea crossing the Strait of Gibraltar, we'll arrive in Ceuta. We'll then head for the Morocco-Spain border. Once we've crossed the border, we'll take the bus to Tétouan, where we'll spend the next 5 hours.
To begin, we'll take a walking tour so we can see some of the most iconic spots of this Moroccan city. We'll stroll through Hassan II Square, where the Royal Palace is located, through the narrow streets of the old Jewish quarter and into the souk. The next stop will be in the Medina of Tetouan, a World Heritage Site that's famous for its white walls and green gates.
Following our guided tour of Tétouan, we'll take a break in a restaurant for lunch. While we enjoy our typical harira soup, couscous, kebabs, mint tea and Moroccan pastries, we'll watch a traditional folk show.
Once we've refuelled a little, we'll visit a Moroccan pharmacy. Here, we'll find a wide variety of natural products and discover the benefits of argan oil.
We'll then hop back on the bus and return to Ceuta to take the ferry. On our way to the port, we'll take a sightseeing tour of Ceuta. During our tour, we'll spot monuments such as the San Felipe Moat and the Royal Walls. We'll discover how the Romans and the Muslims have contributed to the changes that this defensive wall has undergone throughout its history.
Finally, after 12-18 hours of adventure, we'll drop you back off at the starting point.
