Excursion to Sandy Turtle Conservation Center
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Mahahual Lighthouse and head to the Sandy Turtle Center, where we'll learn all about turtles and ocean pollution.
After a 40-minute drive, we'll arrive at the center and attend a talk about the impact that plastic has on the oceans and see the work they do there to take care of the environment. Then, we'll head out and clean Mahahual Beach together, putting our grain of sand into the fight against ocean pollution!
Then, after we've finished cleaning, we'll snack on a delicious selection of fruits and pastries to regain our strength.
Following the snack, we'll begin the second part of the activity and learn all about the fascinating world of sea turtles! We'll learn the secrets of the white turtle and the loggerhead sea turtle from the biologists who will accompany us. And, to complete the experience, we'll explore the beach in search of replicas of turtles and their nests!
Finally, we'll return to the starting point and end the activity after 4 hours.
