Royal Palace & Almudena Cathedral Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet up at the Opera Metro Station. Once we're all gathered, we'll start this guided tour of two emblems of Madrid: the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral.
First, we'll visit the Almudena Cathedral. Did you know that it took more than 110 years to build? Throughout that time, its architectural style changed up to three times. We'll discover interesting facts about this cathedral and the controversy surrounding its history, while we explore the main nave and see the side chapels from the outside
Right in front of the Almudena Cathedral is one of the most important buildings in the Spanish capital. The Royal Palace of Madrid is one of the largest palaces in Europe, with a total of 3,418 rooms – even bigger than Versailles and Buckingham!
We'll step inside the palace and explore it for an hour and a half. We'll see the main rooms of this Baroque wonder, among which are the Throne Room with Tiepolo's frescoes, the main staircase, the Hall of Columns, and the Chapel.
Finally, we'll finish the guided tour of these two monuments after 2 hours and 15 minutes of sightseeing.
Almudena Cathedral
Due to specific events, the cathedral may be closed to the public, in which case the visit will take place outside of the cathedral.
