Day Trip Details
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Maceió at 8:30 am and board the minibus to set off for the Frances beach, 40 kilometres to the south. While we tour the streets of Maceió, we'll pass through the historic district of Jaragua, the Museum of Art and Sound and the Brazilian Statue of Liberty.
After several stops to photograph some of these monuments, we'll arrive at the Praia do Frances, in the town of Marechal Deodoro. Did you know that this paradise beach was the port of arrival for the pirate ships that frequented the east coast of Brazil? Today it is one of the most coveted beaches in the country because of its fine sand and crystal-clear sea.
We'll continue the tour to Barra de São Miguel. This town on the southern coast of Alagoas is a great tourist destination because of the reefs that surround it, simulating a large natural pool. We'll see surfing and diving, as well as the traditional rafts from this area.
To get our strength back, we'll stop at the Kokal restaurant and taste some delicious local food. Afterwards, we'll go to Gunga beach. Its excellent location in front of the Atlantic Ocean and the Roteiro Lake gives its waters a unique mix of colours. You'll enjoy some free time on Gunga beach to walk among its coconut trees, relax on the sand or go up to its excellent viewpoint.
At 3:30 pm, we'll start our way back to Maceió. We can also stop at the Rendeiras neighbourhood and do some shopping. The activity will end arriving back at the hotel between 4:30 and 5 pm.
