When you hire your boat with a skipper in Maafushi, you'll be able to sail through the crystal-clear Indian Ocean while admiring the scenery of the atolls. You'll also be on a private boat just for you and your group!
Description
When making your booking, you'll be able to choose between two different options. Both will take you around the most beautiful atolls in the Maldives and include hotel pickup and drop–off, private boat hire with a skipper, snorkelling equipment and lunch.
Vaavu Atoll boat trip
Having picked you up from your hotel in Maafushi at 9 am, we'll head to the harbour. You'll then hop on a boat and take a pleasant trip through the crystal-clear waters of the Maldives. All you'll need to do is relax, as the skipper will handle everything else.
You'll sail through the crystal-clear waters until you get to Vaavu Atoll. When you get there, you'll be given snorkelling equipment so you can swim with nurse sharks, jacks and dolphins. Next, we'll head to an area where you'll be able to see corals. At 34 miles (55 kilometres) long, this atoll has the longest uninterrupted reef in the country.
During the boat trip, you'll also be able to cool off with drinks and enjoy a tasty barbecue lunch.
Having spent 6 hours 30 minutes cruising through the Indian Ocean, our activity will come to an end.
South Ari boat trip
After picking you up from your hotel in Maafushi at the scheduled time, we'll take you to the harbour so you can hop on the boat and start sailing through the Indian Ocean.
If you go for this option, we'll head to South Ari Atoll. This westerly atoll is one of the largest in the Maldives and has 105 islands.
When you get to a quiet area, you'll be given a snorkelling mask so you can jump into the warm water and look out for giant whale sharks. Did you know that these animals can grow up to 46 feet (14 meters) long? You'll also want to keep your eyes peeled for manta rays and dolphins!
Feeling peckish yet? During the activity, you'll also have a delicious barbecue lunch so you can top up your energy levels.
Vaavu Atoll + Shipwreck boat trip
Once we pick you up from your hotel in Maafushi, we'll head over to the port for our exciting sailing adventure in the Maldives. Our first stop will be at Shipwreck, where you can do some snorkelling and witness the remnants of the sunken ship Victory, which has rested in the Malé Atoll since 1981.
Next, we'll make our way to Vaavu Atoll, where you'll have the opportunity to snorkel alongside nurse sharks, fish, and dolphins. We'll also visit a sandbank, a great place to unwind amidst the vastness of the Maldivian waters.
After eating lunch and creating lasting memories during our unforgettable sailing excursion, we'll conclude the tour by returning to the starting point, marking the end of our six-and-a-half-hour adventure.
