Saône River Cruise
Saône River Cruise
We'll meet at Quai des Célestins and set sail down the Saône River for a tranquil and enriching experience as we explore Lyon and its surrounding area. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we'll admire some of the most significant monuments along the river when you choose from the following two tour options:
Lyon River Cruise
When you opt for this tour, we'll take off on an adventure through Lyon's storied past and rich cultural heritage. As we sail down this tributary to the Rhône River, we'll be treated to picture-perfect waterfront views.
As we make our way along the route, our awesome guide will share fascinating insights, making the journey even more interesting. Get ready to soak up the beauty and history of the area while enjoying some fascinating tidbits along the way!
Next, we'll sail past the confluence where the Saône and Rhône rivers converge. This point is particularly significant and a historical landmark in Lyon that's marked by its distinct architecture and urban development nearby. It's the complete opposite of historical Lyon, as this specific area boasts modern buildings and structures that will leave you captivated.
Then, after 1 hour of maritime adventure, we'll bring our tour to a close at the foot of the Palais de Justice footbridge.
Departure times: 11:15 am, 2:15 pm, 4:45 pm
Île Barbe River Cruise
Join this tour and embark on an adventure through a different side of Lyon's rich cultural heritage, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
As we set sail down the river, get ready for some jaw-dropping views of Lyonnaise architecture that'll have you reaching for your cameras. We'll sail past a picturesque riverfront lined with charming historical houses. And keep your ears open because our guide will be dropping some fascinating insights into the region's rich history along the way.
We'll continue sailing past the river confluence to reach the tranquil Île Barbe with its scenic views. Fun fact: Île Barbe is also home to an Abbey that dates back to the 5th century, making it one of the oldest buildings in Lyon!
Finally, after 1 hour exploring upstream, we'll bring our cruise to an end.
Departure times: 3:30 pm, 6 pm
