Immerse yourself in Luxembourg’s stunning beauty on our Nature and Castles Day Tour, blending scenic countryside with the region's rich history and grandeur.

Tour Details

On the day of the activity, you'll gather at Boulevard de la Pétrusse & Place de Metz at the scheduled time, where this exciting day trip will begin. Ready to set off toward the first destination and discover some of Luxembourg's most stunning locations? You'll embark on a journey through lush green valleys, meandering rivers, and picturesque forests that showcase Luxembourg’s natural wonders.

This exciting audio-guided excursion will begin at the Mullerthal trail and Schiessentümpel waterfall, where you'll be able to take a 45-minute nature hike along the river surrounded by lush green forest. At the end of the hike, you'll reach the stunning waterfalls, one of the most photographed scenes in this region known as "Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland".

Next up, we'll board the comfortable vehicle and head to our next stop in Beaufort, a site of immense historical importance and natural beauty. In the spring and summer months, you'll be able to explore the breathtaking Beaufort Castle, a historical gem nestled in the scenic Luxembourgian countryside. This castle is made up of 2 main structures: a medieval castle built in the 11th century and a Renaissance chateau which was added on in the 1600s.

Afterwards, you'll head to the charming town of Vianden. This lovely medieval town, located on the banks of the River Our, is renowned for its brilliantly conserved castle and paradisical scenery. You'll have 2.5 hours of free time here to wander around and soak up the rich history and vibrant culture. One of the biggest highlights is without a doubt, Vianden Castle, one of Europe's largest feudal residences from the Gothic and Romanesque periods.

The final stop on this enchanting tour will be at Echternach, the oldest town in Luxembourg, where you'll have 45 minutes of free time. This town is known for its Basilica, the abbey and the bustling marketplace. The basilica here is the burial place of Saint Willibrord, the abbey's founder. The abbey itself dates back to the 7th century and has continuously played a crucial role in the region's religious history. Before departing, we recommend taking a stroll around the marketplace to immerse yourself in the vibrant local atmosphere.

Finally, we'll begin our return journey to the starting point, where we'll arrive after between 7 and 8 hours together. Äddi!
