Join us to discover one of the most spiritual places in the world on this private tour of Lumbini. We'll delve into the history of Buddha and learn about his place of origin.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and start our private tour of Lumbini. Are you ready to discover Buddha's birthplace?

Our first stop will be at the origin of it all: the Maya Devi Temple. This shrine is considered one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in Nepal as the place where Queen Mayadevi is said to have given birth to her son, Prince Siddhartha Gautama, whom we know today as Buddha, more than 2,500 years ago.

During the tour of the temple, we'll cross its large gardens and see the sacred pond, where the carved stone that pays homage to the exact birthplace of the founder of Buddhism is located.

Afterwards, we'll head to the monastic area, where different monasteries built by Buddhists from various countries are spread out. We'll visit the Chinese, Korean, German, French and Nepalese monasteries. In this way, we'll see all their commonalities and also their main differences.

Afterwards, we'll stop for an hour and a half in which you'll be free to go and get yourself lunch in one of the restaurants in Lumbini. You'll be impressed by the variety of Nepalese cuisine!

After lunch, we'll continue our tour to the monasteries of Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and Burma. Then, to round off this spiritual and enriching experience, we'll admire the World Peace Pagoda.

Finally, we'll say our goodbyes at the departure point, 7 hours after the start of the activity.
