When making your reservation, you'll have the choice of two tour options:
Tour + Boat Trip
After picking you up from your hotel, we'll take you to the port in Luang Prabang, where we'll board a traditional boat and set sail on the Mekong River. We'll cruise through the beautiful natural landscapes of Laos for around two hours before reaching the so-called Whisky Village, where we'll stop to learn about the process of making whisky and the famous local rice wine.
We'll then visit Pak Ou Caves, natural rock formations also known as the caves of the thousand Buddhas. After learning all about the caves, it'll be time for a delicious lunch of typical Laotian delicacies.
Having eaten, we'll head to Kuang Si Falls itself, one of the most important natural attractions in Laos. You'll be enchanted by the breathtaking sight of the waterfalls, natural pools and surrounding jungle. Plus, if the weather's good, you'll have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the water!
Tour + Kayaking
If you'd prefer a more active tour and choose the kayaking option, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Luang Prabang and head north to the Nam Ou River. There, we'll begin kayaking along the smallest tributary of the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves, where we'll see the numerous statues of Buddha hidden inside.
Later, we'll enjoy a well-earned lunch to get a taste for Laotian cuisine. We'll then make a trip by minibus to the famous Whisky Village, where we'll get to see how the locals make whisky and rice wine.
Our final stop will be at the beautiful Kuang Si Falls. If time permits, we'll have the opportunity to bathe in the sparkling turquoise waters of the natural pools around the waterfalls and enjoy the quiet peace of Laos' natural landscapes.
Hotel Pick Up
Hotel pick up time will depend on the tour you've booked:
- Tour + Boat Trip: you'll be picked up at 7:45 am.
- Tour + Kayaking: you'll be picked up between 9 am and 9:15 am.
