On this guided tour of Los Llanos de Aridane, we'll discover the highlights of this town in the west of La Palma. You'll love the murals that decorate its streets!
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Los Llanos Tourist Office. At this point, we'll start this guided tour in which we'll discover this charming village of La Palma and its unique murals.
First of all, we'll go to the Town Hall of Los Llanos and Plaza de España. There, we'll admire the murals on the top of the buildings that surround this enclave. Picture this: a painting capturing the essence of La Palma in an abstract style. Can you imagine it? Well, get ready to witness one of the most striking creations in the city.
Our tour will continue as we go through the old town of Los Llanos de Aridane walking towards the church of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios. On the way, we'll admire La Gran Ola, by the artist Javier Mariscal, and we'll learn about the fusion between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean that the author sought to express. We'll also take a look at other creations, such as La Ciudad de la Mirada or Bulevar de la Melancolía in the Ciudad de los Gallos.
Then, we'll walk a few more metres and reach the charming Plaza Chica. Here, you'll find the purest Canarian architecture in its carved stone fountain and colourful little houses. Of course, in this square, we'll also see street art murals. Los Llanos is undoubtedly an authentic open-air museum.
After a total of 4 hours, we'll bring this walking tour to an end at the initial meeting point.
