On this advanced-level hike along trail 16 in the Valle de los Lisos, we'll enjoy the breathtaking natural scenery in Cordoba while we go canyoning, only for the brave!
Valle de los Lisos Hiking and Canyoning
Bright and early, at 8 am, we'll meet at route RP28 in Los Gigantes. We'll do a brief technical talk and gather all the necessary material.
After getting ready, we'll set off on our hike which will span a total of between 19 and 21 kilometers (12-13 miles). It'll be a medium-high-difficulty trail that will take us about 8 hours to complete. We'll ascend various peaks that reach 2100 meters (6,900 feet) above sea level.
The route will take us through one of the most rugged areas of the Valle de los Lisos Reserve, a fascinating natural environment in the Los Gigantes mountain range located in the Argentine province of Córdoba. We'll make stops to rest, enjoy the spectacular views, and eat the picnic lunch you bring with you.
We'll be walking along trail 16, which eventually leads to the Truchas waterfall. Once we arrive, you'll be able to take a refreshing dip before we begin our canyoning adventure. It'll be an exciting activity in which, dressed in wetsuits and life jackets, we'll cross several rivers squeezed between very narrow rock walls. The different natural passages will definitely test our agility and skill!
Finally, at around 6 pm, our jam-packed day will come to an end back at the meeting point.
