Are you an adventurer at heart? Don't miss out on this hiking and caving activity in Los Gigantes! It'll be an exhilarating experience in this spectacular area of northern Argentina.

Hiking + Caving in Los Gigantes

When you make your reservation you'll be given the option to choose between one of the following itineraries, which vary depending on the length of the trail and the place where the activity will take place. In either case, we'll meet up at the scheduled time on the RP28 Route of Los Gigantes.

Hiking and Caving in the La Bestia River

If you select this option, we'll hike a total of 12 kilometers (7.5 miles). During this medium-high difficulty route, which will take us approximately 9 hours, we'll ascend to an altitude of 1600 meters (5,250 feet). Of course, throughout the hike, we'll make stops so that you can rest, enjoy the views of the beautiful province of Cordoba, and eat the picnic lunch you bring along with you.

We'll first go through the Batán ravine. From there, we'll follow the trail until we enter the underground river La Bestia. Are you ready to delve into the caves? We'll descend 72 meters (236 feet) down into the earth and go through waterfalls, very narrow passages, and five giant chambers.

In addition, we'll have to swim through a 35-meter-long section (114 feet) with very narrow walls no more than 60 centimeters (2 feet) wide. Talk about an adrenaline rush!

Finally, after a jam-packed and adventure-filled day, the activity will come to an end back at the meeting point.

Hiking and Caving in the Toro Gorge

If you choose this itinerary, the activity will consist of a 14-kilometer (8.7-mile) hiking route, also with medium-high difficulty. This hike has a maximum altitude reaching 2100 meters (6,900 feet) above sea level and will take between 8 and 9 hours. We'll likewise make plenty of stops to rest, eat, and enjoy the landscapes of Cordoba.

The trail runs along the eastern slope of the Toro ravine, which has absolutely breathtaking scenery. The path will take us to a cave where we'll descend down to the underground waterfall of El Toro. We'll go down to a depth of 40 meters (131 feet), covering a stretch of 120 meters (400 feet). The effort will be well worth it since we'll get to see the second-largest underground waterfall on the planet.

After this unforgettable adventure, we'll head back to the meeting point and say our goodbyes.
