Las Vegas & Arizona Desert 5 Day Tour
Las Vegas & Arizona Desert 5 Day Tour
Day 1: Los Angeles - Las Vegas
Having picked you up from the meeting point in Los Angeles between 6:30 and 7 am, we'll leave the state of California behind and head to Nevada. Las Vegas, the gambling capital of the world, awaits!
The drive will take around 4 hours 30 minutes, but halfway there we'll stop at a mall and give you 2 hours of free time for lunch.
When we get to Las Vegas, we'll take you to a casino where you can try your luck at some gambling. We'll then rest at the hotel and get ready for the next day of the tour.
Day 2: Hoover Dam
Good morning! We'll have breakfast at the hotel and then start our second day by heading to the famous Hoover Dam, which was one of the most incredible engineering feats of the 20th century. This dam towers at a height of 726 feet (221 metres), has a length of 1,244 feet (381 metres) and created Lake Mead. This lake is the largest manmade reservoir in the United States.
After learning more about the dam, its history and its surroundings, we'll return to Las Vegas. You'll have the rest of the day free to explore Sin City at your leisure. LED lights, casinos on every corner, themed hotels with luxury restaurants and the spectacular Bellagio fountains await!
Day 3: Las Vegas - Sedona - Page
Once we've woken up and had a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we'll hop on our minibus and head to Sedona in the middle of the Arizona Desert. On the way, we'll make our way up the Colorado Plateau and take the iconic Route 66. We'll also explore some more natural wonders such as Oak Creek Canyon, a gorge that reaches a depth of 2,000 feet (610 metres).
The tour will take us to Sedona, where you'll have 1 hour 30 minutes of free time to have lunch and explore the numerous craft shops with art by members of Indigenous communities. We'll then reconvene and take a public bus to the Chapel of the Holy Cross. From this modern hilltop chapel, you'll look out at breathtaking views of the red mountains surrounding Sedona.
We'll then arrive at the town of Page, where we'll spend the night.
Day 4: Page - Monument Valley - Kanab
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll head to Horseshoe Bend. This curved meander was formed by the Colorado River over thousands of years and is undoubtedly one of the most striking places in Arizona.
Next we'll take a jeep tour of Monument Valley, which is one of the icons of the American West. This area is part of the Navajo reservation, in which we'll see unique sandstone formations that reach a height of almost 1,000 feet (300 metres), We'll discuss how this place was formed and make several stops to take pictures.
Lastly, we'll take you to Kanab. This city is also known as Little Hollywood due to the many Westerns that have been shot here. We'll settle into our accommodation and spend the night here.
Day 5: Kanab - Antelope Canyon - Las Vegas
Breakfast will be followed by a visit to another monument in the Arizona Desert - Antelope Canyon. This gorge, which was formed by water, wind and sand erosion, enchants all who visit due to its unique shapes.
We'll then start our return journey to Las Vegas, which will include a stop for lunch. During our journey we'll also visit the Valley of Fire, which has been declared a National Natural Monument. We'll tell you all about the local flora and fauna and, if we're lucky, we may even see coyotes, foxes and some reptiles.
Our 5-day tour will finish between 4 and 5 pm when we drop you off outside the Las Vegas Luxor Hotel & Casino.
