One of the best panoramic views of Los Angeles awaits us on this hiking trail to the Hollywood sign. The ideal opportunity to get a close-up look at this iconic monument, a symbol of American cinema, and to learn about its history.
Hollywood Sign Hiking Tour
At a time of your choice, we'll meet at the intersection of Innsdale Drive with Canyon Lake Drive to begin a hiking trail that will take us to the famous Hollywood sign.
We'll start walking through the hills of Los Angeles and, as we gain altitude, we'll have a perfect view of movie studios such as Disney, Warner Bros or DreamWorks. Of course, we'll also see in the distance the Walk of Fame, the Griffith Observatory, the luxurious neighbourhood of Beverly Hills and other iconic spots.
As we approach the famous sign, that was inaugurated in 1923 we'll learn all about its history including different acts of vandalism and learn how and why this iconic sign became a symbol of the golden age of American cinema.
We'll be able to see the Hollywood sign from the front and back and enjoy incredible 360-degree views of Los Angeles.
After two and a half hours of walking, we'll say goodbye and arrive back at the starting point.
Express Tour
If you choose this option, the itinerary is very similar to the one described in the previous section.
The big difference is that, in this express tour, the tour will only last 1-1.5 hours and we won't go to the top of the Hollywood sign. Instead we'll see it from a lower point, from where you can take photos. Once you reach this last point, you'll have to return on your own without the guide, as they will continue with the group doing the longer version of the tour.
