San Rosendo & Laja Tour

We'll start our tour of the Great Biobío Valley by heading towards the Laja Waterfalls, where you'll be able to visit its spectacular set of four waterfalls.

Following the route along the banks of the Biobío River, we'll arrive at San Rosendo: a beautiful town made popular by the role of Carmela, one of the great characters in the Chilean play 'La Pergola de las Flores'. The town is also closely linked to the world of trains. So of course, we'll make our next stop at its famous Railway Museum.

We'll continue our tour of San Rosendo heading to its panoramic viewpoint, from where we'll see how the Laja river flows into the Biobío river. We'll also enjoy magnificent views of the nearby town of Laja, where we'll make our next stop on the tour.

Once we arrive in Laja, we'll border its well-known Señoranza Lagoon. We'll then drive to the outskirts of the town to visit a local farm located in the rural tourism centre Las Almendras. There you'll be able to feed the animals and, in addition, those who wish can relax on their own in a sauna or in a type of jacuzzi or hot tubs.

To complete the experience, at the farm we'll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch including a main course, salad, bread, wine or juice and dessert. Finally, after lunch we'll return to the starting point, where we'll arrive seven hours after pickup.

Timetable & Options

When you make your reservation, you can choose one of the following options:

Tour with transfers from Los Angeles

• If you choose this option, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Los Angeles between 9 and 9:30 am. We'll end the tour by returning you to your accommodation.

Tour with pickup at a pickup point in Salto del Laja

If you choose this option, we'll pick you up between 11 am and 11:15 am at Salto del Laja. You can choose one of the following meeting points:

• Hotel Salto del Laja: we'll pick you up at the car park of its restaurant
• Hotel Los Manantiales

At the end of the excursion, we'll take you back to the meeting point of your choice.
