Windsor Castle Excursion
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll board a comfortable coach near London Victoria Train Station and begin making our way west to Windsor, just an hour's drive from London.
First built in the 11th century, Windsor Castle is surrounded by enormous and beautifully looked after gardens with a turreted Round Tower. As you explore, it's easy to understand why the royals love this castle. It's also the oldest and largest lived-in castle in the world!
Accompanied by your audio guide in English, you'll venture into the castle and admire the splendid State Apartments decorated with numerous masterpieces by celebrated painters such as Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci, among others. You'll also be able to visit St. George's Chapel, the resting place of Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth II.
After exploring the inside of Windsor Castle, you'll have free time to check out the rest of the fortress and have lunch in one of the restaurants in the area.
Finally, we'll return to London, where the tour will end around back in central London, after around 4-5.5 hours after pickup.
Family Ticket
When booking, you can opt for a family ticket, valid for two adults and two children from 3 to 16 years old.
Important
Please note the St. George's Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays. On occasion, the State Apartments may also be closed.
