Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we’ll meet at Bulleid Way in Victoria and board a coach. From here, we'll set off on our journey to these two iconic locations.
Our first stop is Lacock, a charming village where history and cinema come together. Starting with a short walking tour, we'll stroll along cobbled streets lined with timber-framed cottages, discovering tales of Lacock's medieval past.
If you're a movie and TV buff, you're in for a treat! Along our tour of Lacock, our guide will point out recognisable filming spots from Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice, and more. One of the most fascinating stops is Lacock Abbey, which featured as the interior of Hogwarts and Harry Potter’s parents' home. Don't forget your camera!
Afterwards, we'll enjoy lunch in a traditional pub in the village, before hopping back in the coach and making our way to Oxford, one of the UK's most picturesque cities and home to the oldest university in the English-speaking world.
Upon arrival, we'll embark on an hour-long guided walking tour, weaving through the city's rich history and fascinating architecture. Our guide will lead us past famous landmarks, including the Bodleian Library, Christ Church College, and Trinity College.
We'll also head into the Divinity School, a medieval building that forms part of the University of Oxford. Constructed between 1427 and 1483, this iconic structure is a marvel of Gothic design—its intricately carved ceilings are sure to impress.
Finally, we'll board the coach back to London, saying our goodbyes at Gloucester Road Underground Station after a total of 10.5 hours.
