Leeds Castle, Canterbury & Dover Day Trip
On the day of the activity, we'll leave central London at the indicated time on an air-conditioned coach and relax while we're taken southeast towards Leeds, a small town 60 km (37 miles) away from the capital.
Leeds Castle
Leeds Castle was described as “the most beautiful castle in the world” by Lord Conway. It was established on two idyllic islands in the heart of Kent and it has 200 hectares of land. Our trip includes a tour inside the palace to discover this landmark’s long history. We'll also be able to try a glass of mead as Henry VIII would have.
Canterbury
Our next stop will be Canterbury, a striking Medieval city renowned for its Cathedral. Canterbury Cathedral is a medieval masterpiece that preserves many original details from the 12th and 13th centuries. Archbishop Thomas Becket was murdered by four knights in the Cathedral in 1170. After the visit to the Cathedral, you'll have time to wander around and have a bite to eat.
The White Cliffs of Dover
Our picturesque journey will continue with a view of the White Cliffs of Dover in the distance, part of the English coastline standing 350 ft (120 m) high. On the outskirts of Dover, we'll also see the Battle of Britain Memorial.
River Thames Cruise
The next stop on our journey will be Greenwich, declared a World Heritage Site, where we'll take a relaxing sightseeing cruise down the River Thames from Greenwich to Embankment, sailing past Tower Bridge, The Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral.
The cruise will disembark on Thames Embankment after a total of 10 hours, which will mark the end of our Leeds Castle, Canterbury & Dover Day Trip.
