Ghosts, Ghouls & Murder Free Tour
Description
Meet us at Cleopatra's Needle as we embark on a chilling adventure through London's ghostly streets where we'll visit historic sites that have a dark past. Along the way, we'll learn about the city's most infamous villains, from notorious serial killers and ruthless gangsters to ghastly monsters that still haunt these very streets.
Our first stop will be the gruesome mystery of the Thames Torso Murders, a series of brutal killings that sent shockwaves through Victorian London. As we walk along the Thames, we'll uncover the secrets hidden within the dark waters and explore this macabre chapter in the city's history.
Next, we step back in time to an era when the London Monster struck terror into the hearts of its residents. This enigmatic figure left a trail of fear and mystery in his wake, and we'll uncover the truth behind the legend and the panic it ignited.
From here we'll make our way below ground into the London Underground. Hear stories of ghostly apparitions and unexplained phenomena. As we continue back up to street level, we'll learn about an elusive and enigmatic figure known as Spring-Heeled Jack. This supernatural entity, with its ability to leap incredible heights, struck terror into the hearts of Londoners in the 19th century.
Passing by Banqueting House, Whitehall, the infamous site of King Charles I's execution and his son Charles II's act of revenge, we'll explore the dark legacy of this historical landmark. Our journey continues with the tale of Amelia Dyer, whose sensational criminal trial sent shockwaves through Victorian London.
As we bring our tour to a close, we'll take our chances at having a ghostly encounter while visiting St. James Palace. This site, historically owned by King Henry VIII, is known for its spectral sightings.
After two hours filled with spine-tingling tales and haunted visits, we'll end the tour at Green Park Station, leaving you with a deeper understanding of London's dark past.
