Snowdonia & Welsh Castles Tour
Snowdonia & Welsh Castles Tour
We'll start this tour of North Wales at the Llandudno Railway Station. At the designated time, we'll set off for the Great Orme headland, where we'll enjoy breathtaking views of Anglesey Island and the Irish Sea! Our next stop will be at the magnificent Conwy Castle, where you'll learn about the adventures of King Edward I of England during the conquest of this area of Wales in the 13th century.
After exploring the castle's different rooms, we'll take a walk through Conwy's historic centre and visit unique homes such as the Elizabethan townhouse of Plas Mawr. We'll even get to see the smallest house in Britain and find out the fascinating reasons behind its tiny size!
Our tour will continue on the green landscapes of Snowdonia National Park. In this protected natural space we'll marvel at the spectacular scenery: the Nant Ffrancon valley. Nearby are Llyn Ogwen and Llyn Mymbyr lakes, where we'll also stop to admire the mountains and valleys reflected in their waters.
Still captivated by Snowdonia's natural beauty, we'll continue our journey through North Wales to Llanberis, where you'll have an hour of free time to get some lunch. After lunch, we'll visit the National Slate Museum. Did you know that the slate industry was one of the main economic motors of Wales?
We'll end the tour of Llanberis with a visit to the Dolbadarn Castle ruins to learn about its fascinating past. And last but not least, we'll head to the last castle of the day, Caernarfon, where we'll uncover all its mysteries.
At the end of our incredible trip, we'll make our way back to Llandudno, arriving after a total of 9 hours.
