Great experience. The guide was wonderful and explained everything perfectly. She offered us the chance to taste typical products which made it more enjoyable. She took care to teach us basic and fundamental words of the language. Very kind and wonderful.

The Triple Bridge, the City Hall, the Cathedral...On this free tour of Ljubljana, we'll pass through the historic centre of Slovenia's capital and see its main tourist attractions - an essential tour!

Description

After we meet at the scheduled time at 21 Ciril-Metodov, near the Robba Fountain, we'll begin our free tour of Ljubljana.

Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, we'll enter the city's old town and discover the history of Ljubljana from its origins to present times. We'll make our way to the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas with its green dome and 2 towers. Its entrance door will give us a sneak peek into Slovenia's history.

The free tour of Ljubljana will also take us to the Dragon Bridge. Did you know it was one of the first concrete bridges built in Europe?

From here, we'll make our way to Preseren Square, crowned by the Franciscan Church of the Annunciation. This catholic church, built in the 17th century, is famous for the striking pink colour of its façade. In addition, from this point, we'll be able to admire the Ljubljanica River and the number of walkways that cross it.

We'll cross the famous Triple Bridge in Ljubljana. It's interesting structure is sure to surprise you! Afterwards, we'll pass by Congress Square, the Central Market, the National Library and University, and the City Hall by checking out the cobblestone streets with their medieval layout around the city.

Then, we'll take the opportunity to learn about some of the many legends associated with the city. Are they true? Following our deep dive into Slovenia's storied past we'll bring this free tour of Ljubljana to an end by returning to the starting point after 1 hour and 45 minutes together.
