We'll meet at the indicated time at 1 Via Cogorano and from there we'll start a relaxing walk through the heart of the historical center of Livorno. We'll explore its liveliest streets and discover the richness of its culinary tradition. Let's go!
Our journey begins as we taste our first dish, frate, a fried sweet similar to a doughnut but with a lighter and spongier texture. This is the most typical sweet found during the city's festivals and celebrations. Afterward, we'll continue on to sample a unique specialty: the 5 e 5. This chickpea-based cake is served with freshly baked crusty bread. Doesn't sound bad, does it?
Later on, we'll indulge in fried fish to pay homage to Livorno's maritime tradition. Its freshness and flavor, will remind you why this city stands out for its typical seafood dishes.
