Enjoy an unforgettable Sintra and Cascais day trip—two must-see Portuguese towns just a short drive from Lisbon. You'll also visit the magnificent Palacio da Pena, the crowning jewel of Sintra!
Explore Sintra: A Fairytale City Near Lisbon
Leaving Lisbon at the scheduled time, we head toward Sintra, a magical town and UNESCO World Heritage Site located just 30 minutes from the capital. Once in Sintra, you'll have time to visit the mysterious Parque da Pena, exploring its caves and secret paths, as well as entering the Palacio da Pena itself, one of Portugal's most impressive sights. The peak of the mountain offers breathtaking views from the Castelo dos Mouros (Arab Castle).
Now in the historic centre of Sintra, there will be an hour of free time to visit the Sintra National Palace if you'd like. On the way to Cascais, we'll pass by Cabo da Roca (the westernmost point in all of Europe), and we'll see Guincho Beach. Golden sands, great Atlantic waves and rugged cliffs—this is a surfer's paradise!
Discover Cascais: Coastal Charm and Stunning Sights
Coming back along the Atlantic coast, we'll take in the Boca do Inferno and will arrive in Cascais, taking a walk along the bay. Following this, you'll have an hour and a half of free time to eat lunch, visit the historic centre, or take a dip in the sea: a refreshing treat during the hot summer months.
On the way back to Lisbon, the tour passes through Estoril, a city famous for its maritime promenade and casino. We'll arrive at the meeting point 8 hours after starting the activity.
