Sintra, Cascais, Pena Palace & Quinta da Regaleira
Sintra, Cascais, Pena Palace & Quinta da Regaleira
At the scheduled time, we'll meet in the heart of Lisbon to head to Sintra, located only half an hour from the Portuguese capital.
Once we get to Sintra, we'll start touring the historic center of this charming village that has many attractions. There we'll see the exterior of the National Palace of Sintra, originally in Arab style and renovated in the 15th century in the Manueline style. Did you know that it's part of the World Heritage List?
Afterward, we'll enter the Quinta da Regaleira Palace, an enigmatic complex with many secrets, legends, and mysteries. It also has gardens full of exotic species, waterfalls, grottoes, and even an initiatory well.
Have you worked up an appetite? After the visit to Quinta da Regaleira, we'll leave you an hour of free time to have lunch.
The next stop will be at the Pena National Park and Palace, the most iconic monument of Sintra and one of the most visited locations in Portugal. Did you know that it was the residence of the Portuguese kings during the 19th century? We'll tell you all about the exciting facts hidden behind its walls!
Next, we'll make a stop in Cascais, a traditional and very charming fishing village. There we'll walk through the cobblestone streets of the historic center and reach the bay.
Lastly, between 9.5 to 10 hours later, we'll part ways at the initial meeting point. See you soon!
