Our Private Trips
If you find yourself with plenty of time on your trip to the Portuguese capital, you can take one of the following trips to one of the nearby towns. All of these trips can be done in one day, and include a private guide who speaks English. Below are suggested itineraries, but remember, it's your private tour!
Arrábida and Sesimbra
This trip leaves Lisbon, crossing the Vasco da Gama Bridge then, having made a stop at the Palmela Castle, we continue through the beautiful coastal landscapes of the Arrábida natural park, to Sesimbra. Following free time to eat, the tour returns to Lisbon via more of the wine-making regions close to the Portuguese capital. The idea of this tour is that it follows a makes its wat to a 19th-century winery to enjoy a tasting of local wines, before making its way back to the capital via the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer.
Óbidos, Fátima and Nazaré
Fron Lisbon we make our way to the Fatima shrine, one of the most important places of pilgrimage in all of Europe. Then it's on to the Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll have time to eat dinner, then the excursion continues to Nazaré, a wonder of nature where you can see some of the world's biggest waves (the biggest wave ever surfed was 80 feet tall, here in 2017) and stop for lunch. After this, and on the road back to Lisbon, we will stop in Óbidos to visit its magnificent medieval old town before heading back to the capital.
Sintra, Cascais and Estoril
We leave from the centre of Lisbon towards Sintra, where it is possible to see the beautiful Palacio da Pena (tickets not included). Afterwards, we will make our way to Cabo da Roca where you'll have free time to eat in one of its famous restaurants before hitting the road again towards the Cascais bay. And from there we'll head back to Lisbon.
Quinta da Regaleira (Sintra), Cascais and Estoril
Having picked you up from your accommodation in the capital, we'll head to Sintra, where you'll see the Quinta da Regaleira Palace (tickets included), before continuing our route by Guincho beach to Cabo da Roca: a truly spectacular route. Then it's on to Cascais and Estoril, where you'll be amazed by the history and bustle of the seaside towns. The tour returns to Lisbon last thing in the afternoon.
Tomar and Almourol
The tour leaves Lisbon on the way to some local and mysterious caves... then we'll visit the Castle of the Knights Templar,and the Cristo en Tomar Convent: UNESCO World Heritage sites steeped in history. Following free time to eat, we'll make our way to the Almourol Castle, visiting the medieval fortress on the banks of the Tagus. Then with the visit over, we'll make our way back to Lisbon.
Meeting point and schedule
Buses for the excursions leave at 9 am from your hotel in Lisbon. Nonetheless, the local provider will get in touch with you to confirm the exact time.
