Description
Day 1: Lisbon - Óbidos - Porto
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from Praça Marquês de Pombal, and from this point is Lisbon we'll make our way northwards.
After an hour-long journey, we'll arrive at Óbidos, a cute town which is famous for its picturesque medieval streets. Once we've arrived at this town, we'll enjoy a ginjinha tasting, a popular maceration liquor that you'll absolutely love. After this tasting, we'll take a short panoramic tour of the village, where the castle of Óbidos stands out. Did you know that it's one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal?
From Óbidos, we'll continue the tour towards Porto, the most populated city in north Portugal. There, we'll take a panoramic tour and pass by some iconic locations such as the Cathedral, the Cleric's Tower and the São Bento Station. We'll also make our way along the banks of the Duoro River, where we'll see the iconic Don Luis I Bridge.
Once we've finished the tour of Porto, you'll have an hour and a half for lunch in the historic centre. After eating, we'll meet up again in the old town to make our way to a hotel in the city. You'll have the rest of the evening free to grab some dinner and take a stroll around.
Day 2: Porto - Aveiro - Lisbon
After a warming breakfast at the hotel in Porto, we'll leave this beautiful city behind and make our way southwards to Aveiro.
After arriving at this place, known as the Venice of Portugal, we'll enjoy a ride in a moliceiro boat. This traditional boat will take you down the canals of Aveiro. Once we've finished the boat ride, which will last around an hour, you'll have time for some lunch in the historic centre.
After eating, we'll return to the meeting point in Lisbon, where we'll arrive at around 6 pm.
