Entrance to the Royal Treasure Museum
Entrance to the Royal Treasure Museum
With this entrance ticket to the Royal Treasure Museum, you can visit the west wing of the Ajuda National Palace, where a large part of the heritage of the Royal House of Portugal is exhibited. This space houses an exhibition of the riches that were part of the Crown and other treasures that came from the private collections of the royal family. You'll be amazed!
The Royal Treasure Museum is composed of 11 different sections. The tour begins in the Gold and Diamonds of Brazil exhibit, where you'll see samples of raw metals, precious stones, coins, and medals of the Crown.
In the third section, you'll find the jewels of the Royal Treasure and, in the fourth section, you'll find the insignia of the honorific Orders of Knighthood and Orders of Merit, a unique collection at the national level!
You'll then come upon the Royal Insignia exhibit, where you won't only see royal scepters, mantles, and crowns, but also the high decorations of the Military Orders of Christ, Avis, and Santiago!
The visit ends with the Treasure's Travels exhibit, where you'll learn about the places the treasure has traveled to and how it was transported. Don't miss this journey through history!
