Arrábida National Park Tour + Dolphin Sighting
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Praça Marquês de Pombal, where we'll hop on a minibus to cross the April 25th Bridge, leaving Lisbon behind and making our way towards Margem Sul.
We'll take a tour of the Arrábida National Park, where we'll see some of the main attractions, starting with the Lagoa de Albufeira. This natural oasis is a very popular place among windsurfers, as well as other water sports fanatics.
Next, we'll head to the Cabo Espiche, and visit the Nossa Senhora del Cablo Church. Afterwards, we'll continue traversing the Arrábida National Park and arrive at Portinho and the Arrábida Convent.
Later on, we'll go to Setubal, where we'll hop on a boat to go dolphin spotting in the Sado River estuary. In this area of the Atlantic Coast, you'll also be able to see birds such as storks and flamingos. Once we're on the high seas, we'll try to spot some jumping bottlenose dolphins. Stay sharp!
After returning to Setubal Harbour, we'll delight in a glass of muscatel wine, in one of the most popular bars among the local fishermen.
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point in Lisbon, crossing the Vasco da Gama Bridge and bringing the tour to a close after 5 hours.
