Santiago de Surco Tour
Santiago de Surco Tour
At your chosen time, we'll pick you up from your hotel. We'll set off southbound for Santiago de Surco, a neighbourhood located between Miraflores and Barranco and one of the 43 districts in the Peruvian capital.
Santiago de Surco was originally a rural town until 1929, when it was declared a district. Today, it is considered a "garden district" due to its large green spaces and residential areas. Did you know that the most expensive houses in Lima are found in this neighbourhood?
We'll visit the old town of Santiago de Surco, where we'll learn all about the history of this place, which has become one of Lima's most affluent neighbourhoods.
Next, we'll take the bus through the industrial area of the adjacent Villa El Salvador neighbourhood. We'll head to the Jockey Plaza Shopping Centre, which is the largest shopping centre in the city.
You'll have some free time to browse the goods in its exclusive shops before you have an authentic limeño experience as we take the Lima metro to the Estación de la Cultura.
When we arrive at this stop, we'll observe the contrast between antiquity and modernity. This contrast is reflected in the different buildings, such as the Grand Theatre and the National Library of Peru.
It'll then be time for the bus to take you back to your hotel, where you'll arrive 4 hours after our departure.
