If you head northeast of Lima, you'll find little-known wonders that you can easily discover on our Santa Rosa de Quives & Canta Trip. Get ready for an unforgettable trip to enchanting natural spots!
Description
Having picked you up from the meeting point at your chosen time, we'll set off for two of the most iconic places northeast of Lima.
At around 8:30 am, we'll arrive in Santa Rosa de Quives. We'll make a brief stop so you can have breakfast on your own before starting a guided tour of this small town where Saint Rose of Lima spent her childhood.
We'll visit the house where the saint lived, as well as the chapel and the magical Wishing Well, where locals throw letters asking for the saint's help with their endeavours. Don't forget to bring your own!
Next, we'll head to Canta. On the way, we'll stop at the Cochapampa Viewpoint to admire marvellous views of the Lima highlands and its villages.
Once we've arrived at this town, which is located at the base of the Widow's Mountain Range, we'll start to explore its many wonders. These include the Pomora Waterfall and the lakes of Ocho Colores, Leoncocha and Chuchún. We'll take a break at this last lake to bask in its incredible natural surroundings.
Afterwards, we'll stop at a countryside hacienda in Canta. Here, you'll have some free time to taste typical dishes such as stew or pachamanca (a meat dish cooked over hot stones). You can also go on a pleasant horseback ride and visit the Lucle Waterfall or the fish farm.
In the afternoon, at 4 pm, we'll start our return journey to Lima. We'll drop you back at the starting point at around 7 pm.
