Tour Highlights
Day 1
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at the point of your choice in Lima and head towards the province of Huaral. After making a stop for breakfast on your own, we'll continue to La Florida, where you can stretch your legs while we buy tickets for the citadel of Rúpac.
After lunch, we'll depart from the town of Pampas and start a three-hour hiking route to Rúpac, admiring incredible mountain scenery along the way.
We'll cross waterfalls, pastures, and small streams until we reach the camping area, just in time to see a wonderful sunset over Rúpac. Afterward, we'll sit by the fire to rest and enjoy the starry sky.
Day 2
We'll wake up at dawn so as not to miss the sunrise over Rúpac and, after a comforting breakfast, we'll continue visiting the citadel. We'll learn about the history of the Atavillos, the pre-Inca culture that constructed the buildings of this mountaintop fort, and discover how they carried out their rituals and traditions.
After the tour of Rúpac, we'll return on foot to Pampas, where we'll have lunch and start our way back to Lima. We'll leave you at the pickup point around 7 pm.
Accommodation & lunch
The tour includes one night's accommodation at a camping site in Rúpac. Lunches are included and consist of a starter, a main course, and a drink.
