Pantanos de Villa Trip
Pantanos de Villa Trip
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Lima before heading south until we reach the idyllic protected wetland reserve of Pantanos de Villa. During the journey, we will follow the Peruvian coast and make a stop to admire the beautiful ocean from the top of a cliff.
Once we arrive in Pantanos de Villa, we will begin to explore these magical wetlands that are home to more than 200 species of birds. We will follow the trails through the parkland and you will have the opportunity to climb up the observation towers that we pass along the way, which offer fantastic panoramic views.
Some of the more notable species that we will encounter are the Great grebe, the Andean coot, herons, egrets, and the Peruvian pelican. Pantanos de Villa is also home to dozens of species of fish, reptiles, and amphibians. Keep your eyes open and you may be lucky!
After a brilliant morning exploring the wonderful flora and fauna of Pantanos de Villa, we will return you to your hotel in Lima.
