Miraflores Bike Tour
At the appointed time we'll meet in front of the Huaca Pucllana, in Miraflores, to begin our adventure. Before we set off, we'll provide you with safety instructions and share the rich history of this famous huaca. Then, when we're ready, we'll set off on a 16-kilometer (9.9-mile) adventure to Los Pantanos de Villa.
Our first stop will be at Parque del Amor, a romantic park located on the Miraflores boardwalk. We will continue our route to Salazar Park. From there, we'll continue our route to Salazar Park, where we'll take another break to visit the Larcomar shopping mall.
From there, we'll head towards Barranco, Lima's bohemian neighborhood. In Barranco, we'll explore the Bridge of Sighs, an ancient wooden bridge steeped in legend, where it's said that wishes can come true if you make one while crossing
We’ll continue our journey to the Malecón de Chorrillos, where we’ll pause to take in the breathtaking views of the fishermen’s pier, the Pacific Ocean, and the Morro Solar. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
From there, we'll cycle to Los Pantanos de Villa, the only protected natural area in Lima. We’ll spend about 2 hours in this wildlife refuge, where you’ll have the chance to observe over 210 species of birds, along with a variety of other fauna and flora. We'll leave our bikes for a guided walking tour, followed by a canoe ride. To enhance your experience, we’ll provide binoculars and field guides to help you spot and identify the diverse bird species.
Before we head back, we’ll visit the Maravilla Lagoon, located by the sea. From there, we’ll begin our return journey to Huaca Pucllana, where we’ll arrive 5 hours later.
